Lisa got interested in architectural bricks, which are formed for particular moments in building when a non-right angle on one or more of the six faces is called for. The odd shapes looked like they would lend themselves to fitting together to create whole without altering any single unit.

Fluorescent U bend bulbs, used mostly for signs, are another waning industrial unit. However, there are still a number of available sizes, a few of which looked like they would fit into the developing brick structures with nice results. Thus a series of Brick Lights formed.
